  • When in Barcelona

you eat tapas.. and more importantly, pintxos. I stuffed myself with these for 3 days and I don’t regret it at all.

I did a little sightseeing, but as it was my third visit, I took it pretty easy.. this Gaudi is in the Passeig de Gracia.. right by a Zara 🙂

I also made it to dinner at Pakta, the new Adria restaurant.. it was a Peruvian Japanese fusion – just divine, if this was a food blog I would post pictures of all 20 courses… this is a picture of the their other restaurant, Tickets, which was right by my hotel…

And of course, there was fashion… I ‘discovered’ this cute little boutique in the now funky El Born area.. Malababa.. all made locally in Spain, they have a few other branches in Madrid as well.

They make the most beautiful bags and jewellery.. I wish I hadn’t have blown my budget on food and Zara before I found it, I would have bought more.. here are some of my favourite things.

The necklace above also comes in a bracelet, which sadly is not online, so I will have to go back to get it.
    their website is: www.malababa.com

  • Happy 2013!

Hello 2013, let’s make it a very stylish one with love and happiness for all…

Great, now that’s over with, for my NYE festivities I went to Amsterdam this year, a much cool-er event than last year in Bali, no matter which way you interpret that word.

Here is the view from my accommodation:

Such a beautiful city day and night.

The best shopping I found was in the infamous 9 Streets ( De 9 Straatjes in Dutch!).. one of my favourite shops was Pretty Rings which as suggested has an enormous range of beautiful and well priced jewellery:

These 9 Streets are filled with unique design shops and antiques… by far some of the best shopping I have seen in northern Europe.. The Dutch experience was just fantastic. The people are so helpful and friendly, the food was surprisingly good and of course, the airport visit is always the full stop on your holiday.. this is how the Netherlands said goodbye to me:

  • A new baguette!

Fendi is not a show I usually watch, completely overlooking that Karl is co-designer.. it wasn’t til I checked out SS 13 shows that I noticed Fendi was of note for the coming season.
The bags, oh my the bags.  Just when The Baguette was in danger of becoming ‘the what?’ they have to go and make them covet worthy again, perfect timing since this winter all we see are the little bags a.k.a minaudiere ‘s on everyone who is anyone… this one was one of my favourite from Fendi:

Love the beading. Love the clean leather with beads. Love the clear logo. Love the lack of bling despite the embelishment.

In awe of what they thought of next:

Again, Love the clean leather, this time with texture, and the clear plastic logo buckle. Love that you can double duty this one with a day bag for day, and your night one on the side, literally! My eyes are starting to water and my heart is pounding.. must stop before I scare myself !
